Join the Transit Forward Philadelphia coalition in celebrating the 2026 Week Without Driving and Week with Affordable Transit.
Every year in October, we challenge those who have the option to drive to learn firsthand about the barriers and challenges that nondrivers face.
More than 1/3 of people living in the United States are nondrivers. We are people with disabilities, young people, seniors and people who can’t afford cars or gas.
This year, in addition to challenging our neighbors to use transit, bike, walk, or roll to work and school; we are imagining a Philly with affordable and accessible transit. A Philly with a Transit Access Fund, universal student fares, and accessible transit stops that include all of us.
Events are happening all across PA. In Philly, we will kick off the week on September 29th with a multimodal alleycat. During the Week Without Driving (Oct 1st-8th), we'll take action to support our campaigns for more affordable and accessible public transit.
Join us in pledging to take part in Week Without Driving, and call for true mobility options for all in Pennsylvania. Take the pledge and sign up for an event below!
