Celebrate Transit Equity! Join partners of Transit Forward Philly for an outing that will highlight a public transit route to a beloved green space in the city. This outing will begin with a discussion and opportunities for action on campaigns for transit access to greenspace and student transit passes, all dependent on fully funded transit via local, state, and federal governments.

We will start at Temple University with some light refreshments, then will make our way together to the Discovery Center in East Fairmount Park via the Route 3 Bus. We will do a short hike along the reservoir and grounds, learn about Transit Equity Issues in Philly, and then will make our way back together to Temple.
Two-swipe SEPTA passes will be available for those that need one. This is a family-friendly outing; participants will have the choice to return to Temple Campus after the hike, or leave right from the Discovery Center.
The hike will be around 1.5-2 miles on a flat trail that is a woodchip or dirt path. Please monitor the weather and dress appropriately.
All registrants will receive exact details of meeting location in a separate email.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: The meetup location and transit trip are fully accessible and ADA compliant. Unfortunately, while our trail is "easy," the path is woodchips and dirt, so will not be accessible for most mobility aids.
This outing is hosted by Transit Forward Philadelphia; The Sierra Club Pennsylvania Chapter; Clean Air Council; Temple University Office of Sustainability; and CARIE (Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of Elders)
