Arts Accessibility Audit

Join us this summer to document bus stop conditions in Center City!

Transit should be accessible and safe for everyone. But too often, SEPTA riders have to deal with broken or obstructed sidewalks, dangerous intersections, a lack of shade, and other obstacles or hazards at our bus stops. As part of a city-wide project, Art-Reach is teaming up with Transit Forward Philadelphia to audit bus stop conditions in Center City near arts destinations. With the data collected, Transit Forward Philadelphia will deliver a report to decision-makers to build a safer and more equitable transit system.
Conducting audits is quick and straightforward. It entails inspecting the stop and the area around it and filling out a simple form. You can also take photos.
Everyone is invited to meet up with us at the CreativePHL Office in City Hall to audit busy bus stops in Center City. We will meet at the East Market Street entrance. Bring a photo ID to enter the building.

Everyone is welcome, and materials will be provided. If you’d like to audit bus stops on your own, check out Transit Forward Philly’s guide. You can also view audit results here

This even will have an ASL interpreter. For accessibility requests, please email Abbey Judd at [email protected]
