Ben Franklin Bridge Transit Tour

Walking, biking and taking public transit are all great ways to get around Philly and especially to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The Benjamin Franklin Bridge will be vehicle-free & open to the public at 10 a.m., starting near 5th and Race streets in Philadelphia.

We will lead a group from South Philly on the B and transfer to the L. If you are a first time rider, you can join us and learn how to ride, read the system map and more. If you cannot join us in South Philly, you can meet us on the bridge around 11 a.m. Whether you join us on foot, bike or bus we hope to see you there.

The South Philly group will meet outside of Batter & Crumbs Vegan Bakery and Cafe and walk a short distance to the Tasker-Morris stop on the B, ride to City Hall and transfer to the L. Once we get off the L, we will get on the bridge and enjoy the festivities and food trucks.

Free fare cards can be provided to participate on request. We’ll also cover how to get your own SEPTA Key card or use tap to pay.

Coming from South Philly? Meet at 1400 Reed St. at 10am.

Coming from elsewhere? Meet at 5th and Race streets at 11am.

All are welcome to join. Please contact [email protected] with any questions or if there are ways we can make this event more accessible for you to participate.
