Transit Moves Philly: To work, to school, to medical care, to cheer on our teams, and bring us together with friends.
On July 28th and 29th, Transit Forward Philly will take transit across Philly for 24 hours in a row to celebrate and advocate for the buses, trains, trolleys and even bikeshare! that keep Philly moving.
We’ll interview transit riders, community advocates, and elected leaders working for safe, accessible, affordable, and fully funded transit. We'll be traveling to every corner of Philly throughout the day but you can catch up with us on the journey throughout the 24 hour marathon at the events below.
Our schedule is subject to change but here is an outline of our day. Sign up at the links below for or meetup times.
July 28th
- 7:30am - Take transit to City Hall - sign up for the event below to take transit with friends
- 8:15am-8:45am - 24 Hours on Transit Kickoff at City Hall
- 9:00am - The Marathon begins! We'll take the L to Kensington
- 9:00am-11:00am - Meeting transit advocates in Kensington
- 11:30am-12:30pm - Lunch at the Cecil B Moore 'B' stop, meeting North Philly transit advocates
- 1:00pm-3:00pm - Travel to West Philly and connect with community leaders
- 3:00pm-6:00pm - Travel to NE Philly to connect with transit riders and elected leaders
- 6:00pm-8:00pm - Picnic at Cira Green
- 8:00pm-10:00pm - Bike ride via Indego

10:00-12:00pm - Travel to South Philly to connect with transit advocates
July 29th
- 12:00am-7:00am - Connect with shift workers and transit advocates on late night transit across Philly
- 7:00am-9:00am - Travel back to City Hall for the finish line!
